Hey all! As you may have noticed, I kind of vanished this year. Real life has been incredibly busy, meaning that I haven't had time to set anything up for the fest this year. I think the best thing to do is just cancel it and hope for a less hectic year next year.

Sorry for leaving this so late, but I really was hoping I could find the time to do something, even if it was something little. Hope to see you all next year!

WeasleyJumpers Fest 2024!

Hey all! So, it's about time for another WJ fest. I've been thinking about it this past year and, with the inclusion of the tumblr account, we have had a little bit of extra participation. I think last year was a bit full-on, with the whole 31 prompts for August, but I do have ideas!

Firstly, what does everyone think about keeping August as a Weasley month type of thing? I might pick a character and have a series of prompts for them per week in August. Just something to keep the comms a little more active. So, say Charlie is chosen, there would be maybe four or five prompts per week. You can pick and choose whatever you want to use for that week, and how much of it, but whatever is created, it has to involve Charlie as the main character.

Secondly, a fest. A real one that runs through June and/or July. Prompt and claim seems to be the most popular, but I am definitely open to suggestions! We've run a Mini Fest a couple of times here, and had different versions of prompt and claim before. I don't want another comment fest, and things that need to be on one site only won't work. There's not enough people for a gift fest. Maybe a remix might work? I don't know. Open to suggestions as always!

31 Days of Weasley wrap-up

The 31 Days of Weasley is over, and it was an amazing success! Thank you all so much! In the Ao3 collection, we have 98 entries, and some of those are different chapters, so there were over 100 entries for this year's fest! Because there were so many, I won't be linking them all, but go check out the Ao3 pages of everyone involved. Links below!

We did it!

I'll post a proper post tomorrow, just in case there's some last-minute entries still coming in. But, I wanted to say a huge thank you and congratulations to all who participated! Doesn't matter if you did one entry, the whole month, or cheered others on, it's all appreciated!

This was a surprising success, especially considering it's the first fest to run on tumblr as well as the journals. I'll be back tomorrow with a wrap-up post. Thank you all again! :D
